I’ve decided that I’m going to ditch the original “stalk” headlight, dome light, wiper and washer switches.  I went to my local pick n’ pull and found a dodge truck with a 2 speed switch that looked like a good fit.  I trimed away the excess bezel material and grafted it into the dash panel.

This weekend I continued cutting all the gauge holes into the dash and also cut the holes for the turn signal lamps, the brights lamp and the parking brake lamp.  I’m using LEDs I got from the local electronics place for these four indicators.  After I got all the holes cut I used glazing putty… Continue Reading cuttin’ holes and slingin’ mud…

Started work on the dash this weekend.  I pulled the dash, disconnected the gauge cluster and the ac vents and started turning it into a “blank” to house the new gauges.  The first “patch” is for the radio hole.  You can see in the pics that the stock radio opening had really been hacked.  more… Continue Reading dash work begins…
