I’ve got a 70 Javelin, but don’t race it at the track.

I had to learn that same lesson on the race track. I’d get passed by much faster cars and try to keep up with them to learn they’re lines and anything I could. Sure as shit, I’d follow right behind into a corner and go right around.

Race days are always complete chaos! To much happens even to mentally digest it all. Driving home from the races, physically and mentally exhausted, my Wife and I rewind the events of the day. What happened with so-and-so in the first heat race, why did you make that change and make it worse, it was great how Joe & Jim helped you bleed the brakes, I had to help Tim with front end after I put him off, etc

Good luck with that vibration!
Dave

I’ve been following your build since day one. It looks fantastic. “Riding along” with you during the spin got my curiousity up. I don’t believe you had too much speed going in. I reviewed a photo posted on Lat-g, showing the car in the garage, and it appears you have some engine fluid leaks. Take a hard look at those, as a drop or two can really put some ice under the tires. You really shouldn’t have any leaks anyway, especially with a newly assembled engine.
Keep up the good work!
